More about Chakra Healing
What are chakras?

Chakras are wheels of light which act as gateways to the physical body. They are traditionally depicted as lotus flowers, each resonating at different frequencies, corresponding to the colours of the rainbow.
"As the colour rays densify and descend down through our earth's atmosphere, they at last arrive in our own energy field, known as subtle bodies, the substance of our aura. These subtle layers act as antennae that receive all energies around us, recording some, and rejecting others. They store different levels of memory-consciousness and pass the information on to the chakras." (Fabien Maman)
The chakra system takes a complete view of human experience, integrating the many layers that make up the self - the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Although the humain energy system is said to have many chakras, the traditional Hindu system names 7 major ones. Each chakra operates at a unique, optimum frequency, which determines its colour and its other characteristics.
A chakra is a center of activity that receives, assimilates, and expresses life force energy.

Chakras healing is based on the belief that in order for total well-being to take place, we must act as an integrated whole. When there is a dysfunction or blockage in one part of the system, it has an impact on all the other parts. This malfunctioning can occur when the energy flowing through the chakras is either excessive or deficient.
A smooth, steady flow of energy through the chakra system ensures a healthy aura (bio-electromagnetic or vibrating energy field around the human body), in turn indicating a body clear from dis-ease.
